New Year

Today is New Year Day. I will began the new year with a short reflection of the past year.

It was a very fun year. It was the year which I became an OAL. It was the year which I got confirmed. It was the year which me and my friends took over in our CCA. It was the year which i got my AM. It was a year filled with miracles.

However, it was also the year with the most amount of failures and setbacks. It was the year where old bonds are weakened and new bonds are not made. It was the year which my grandpa passed away. It was the year with the most number of regrets, like failing to study hard enough to beat C.S.M. and failing to become O.O.C.. It was also the most stressful year so far.

My resolutions for the new year:
1) Strengthen old bonds and make new bonds
2) Become top 30 in level
3) Perfect score for NAFA
4) Get (6-2) points for 'O' Levels
5) Live life to the fullest

How to say goodbye

Today I went out with some friends. Purpose? Cos Papaya is going overseas to study next year, so it was like a final gathering before she leaves. How sad...

...though the activities we do during this short gathering was not sad at all.

We went to catch a movie. We watched IP man. The show is quite nice. It has a very interesting plot. Technically, the camera angles and lighting are professional. Duh. I discovered some interesting techniques used in the show. However, I think that the show have too many fight scenes. About 40%-50% of the show is fight scenes. I don’t like the show in this aspect. Rating: 3/5.

The whole gathering had a lot of walking and talking. It was quite enjoyable.

However, still feel quite sad. HAIZ...

There are a lot of thoughts in my head and I finally come to a conclusion:
Nothing lasts forever, thus we should cherish very thing around us. Who knows? They may be gone tomorrow. YOU may be gone tomorrow.

If you are going to die tomorrow, what will you do? The best way to strength bonds is to do those things now.

HAIZ

jingle bells, jingle bells

A few days ago, I went to Nick Wan’s Christmas party. It was really good. There were good food, good music and a nice amount if people. It was the most Christmas-like party I ever attended. There was a really gorgeous Christmas tree and a nice choir carolling. The air was filled with the spirit of Christmas. It was almost perfect.

However, I really do hope that we could do more stuff other than talking and taking pictures. Well, talking is nice but it would have been nicer if we talk while playing board games or something like that.

Rating: 9.99/10 haha

Jingle all the way

Swimming Lessons

I realized that I haven’t blog about them yet.

‘Swimming lessons’ is to make it sound more innocent. To be exact, it is a hybrid of swimming and life saving lessons.

To be honest, swimming lessons are quite slack and boring sometimes, especially if we do normal swimming. I am the Michael Phleps there. My personal best for 50m freestyle is 30s. Not bad rite? So, it is quite slack unless I push myself to the limit. Which I do… sometimes.

The life saving part is quite interesting cos I always screw up and get scolded. I may be the best in terms of speed, but I am definitely not the best in terms of knowledge and skill.

For instance, yesterday, I got told off for using the phrase ‘Don’t Panic!’ too many times during rescue. (Actually, it is the ONLY phrase I use during rescue. HAHA) I should say something else. Then, my mom suggested that I should say ‘Don’t Panic!’ in other languages in case the casualty doesn’t understand English. I think it is a really nice (and funny) idea, so I will try it out next week. HAHA.

Then, normally after a swimming lesson, I will visit my grandma house. And, I will probably be playing hand phone games there.
After that, I will go home and sleep.

Wat is the name this song?

It is hard to say goodbye,
there is so much more we need to share together.
It is hard to reason why,
and yet we know this can't go on forever

There are so much we need to know,
places we need to go,
a brand new set of friends we yet to find.

There are dreams we need to live,
love we need to give,
but nothing can replace the way we feel.

Down deep inside,
down deep inside.

This is my p6 graduation song. It is really really nice, but i don't know what it is called. Anyone know or have the song, please tell me or send it to me.

Anyway, today, i went out with Grape, Lemon and Chili. We did bowling together. I realised that i am lousy in bowling. HAHA.

ACT1V8

Receive the power..

From 4-5 Dec, I went to “The Conference’. It was fun. The sessions make me dam high. Now I feel very hyped up after all the jumping and singing.

The praise and worship sessions are very memorable. We became crazy when singing songs like ‘As it is in heaven’ or ‘Your grace is enough’. I kept jumping and singing at the top of my voice when singing those songs. IT rocks. After the last praise and worship session, I was so hyper that I couldn’t even cap my water bottle properly. It really really rocks.

There is also another interesting (and embarrassing) thing that happened there. Eggplant got dumped in his face!

‘What is your name?’
‘Pumpkin’

‘Can I have your number?’
‘No.’

HAHAHA

Eggplant went home after that. He shouldn’t have went home cos he if he didn’t he could have stopped Kiwi from letting the whole church know about it.

The past two days have been really memorable. I have to make sure that it will not get deleted from my hard disk. HAHAHA. When did a lot of things. We have a few people shared with us their history, how the Holy Spirit help them in their life. O ya! The plays were also very funny and interesting. I like it. The video is not bad. Here is a critic.

I feel that some of the effects, especially the face distortion part, are unnecessary. Those effects are a little overboard. It will make the video look unprofessional.

I have a distant impression that Mr. Apple knows one of my deeper secrets.

COC part 1

Today, I went for the COC rehearsal.

At first, it was very slack and fun. Our drills are quite good, we have more praises than scolding. Our CLTs, although not the best, were very nice. They make really funny jokes like:

‘Give me good drills and I will give you the number of any girl in the female contingent. I have the nominal roll.’
‘HAHAHA’

We also a nice time suaning orange.

‘Orange has broken the Guinness Book of records for having the lowest IQ to solve 1+1.’
‘HAHAHA’

‘Orange, stop being orange’
‘HAHAHA’

It was fun while it lasted.

We had 1 rehearsal. The rehearsal was very very boring and long. The front part of the rehearsal was ok, we did some drills like marching and omat senjata. I really hate the later part of the parade where we stand there and do nothing for about 30 minutes, cannot fidget, under the sun.

But what really really piss me off is when Orange FALL OUT! I feel that it is more courageous to endure than to fall out and become a disgrace to our unit, platoon, district. Even if you faint in the process, you will be known as the one that has the courage to endure to the very end.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France,
we shall fight on the seas and oceans,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,
we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender
